From weddings to worship, this quarter included quiet-time triumphs. We also had team training. It was bursting with heart, hope, and Holy Spirit moments!

Celebrating Michelle & Mike’s Wedding
We began the quarter with joy. Our Children’s Church and Children’s Hospitality teams danced at the vibrant union of two of our own.
Michelle Nzioka and Mike Makori said “I do” on 5th April in a color-splashed celebration. Pledging Christ-centered vows. Their marriage reminded us that every union is a divine masterpiece.
A testimony of love and service.
“Two are better than one.” (Eccl 4:9)
Weekly Bible Teaching & Guest Sessions
Our Stories of Hope curriculum guided nearly 200 children through 12 engaging Bible lessons. These lessons spanned from the Triumphal Entry to the Great Commission.
Children encountered heroes like Daniel, Esther, and Nehemiah. They also journeyed through the life of Jesus. This journey spanned from His baptism to the Sermon on the Mount.
Mt. Olives (ages 11–12), hosted Pst. Mercy Ngaara and Elly Mudedi as guest speakers. They explored relevant themes like Substance Abuse and Contentment God’s Way. Bridging faith with daily challenges.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Ps 119:105)
Facilitators’ Training
In partnership with Children’s Evangelism Fellowship, 21 facilitators sharpened their skills in classroom management on April 12. They improved their use of visual aids. They also learned to share the Gospel with clarity.
A stirring quote from the training stuck with us. “A Bible story without salvation is similar to a sick person being given empty capsules.”
“To equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up” (Eph 4:12)
Online Facilitators’ Bible Study
Led by Nenoh Ndiema, our biweekly facilitator Bible studies began on 8th April. The studies deepened our understanding on topics like prayer, fasting, faith, and spiritual authority.
The sessions built strong fellowship and enriched spiritual leadership.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing.” (1 Thess 5:16–17)
Peers Without Pressure (PWP) Discipleship Check-ins
Through our Raising Future Parents partnership, 18 children (ages 6–14) embraced weekly quiet-time practices.
Guided by four passionate trainers, Anthony & Nenoh Ndiema and Davis & Betty Ochieng’. The children grew in Scripture reading and applying God’s Word, cultivating lifelong discipleship habits.
We wrapped up the PWP children check-ins on June 29 with cake cutting to celebrate the four-month milestone. Passing on the discipleship baton to their parents.
“Train up a child in the way he should go.” (Prov 22:6)
Ministry Team Meetings & Mini-Training
Every first Sunday, the ministry team reviewed services and shared best practices. Led by Pst. Joseph Ngaara, the mini-trainings focused on Redemptive Discipline, Modeling God’s Truth, and Raising Godly Offspring.
Through interactive icebreakers, we spotlighted Joy Elizabeth, Sheila Oriare and Shawn Joab. Knowing a little about their backgrounds, careers and life interests outside teaching, added warmth and encouragement to the team.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Heb 10:24)
Easter Special Service
On 20th April, our children led worship. They narrated Scriptures, recited a poem (Free at Last) and celebrated Christ’s Resurrection through a dramatic weighing-scale skit.
Reminding us that Jesus’ work on the cross outweighs all. Rev. Albert’s message from 1 Corinthians 15 crowned the day.
“He is not here; He has risen.” (Luke 24:6)
Quarterly Intercession
Keren and Teresiah led our Q2 prayers, held on 3rd May. We gave thanks for past victories. Lifting our needs to God and securing His guidance for the season ahead.
“The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.” (Jas 5:16)
GPT Hebron City 18th Anniversary
As the church celebrated its 18th anniversary on May 25, Charles directed a children’s skit. A vivid portrayal of salvation by grace alone.
Paired with Rev. Albert’s message from 1 Corinthians 15, the event celebrated God’s sustaining grace through 18 years of ministry.
“For by grace you have been saved.” (Eph 2:8)
Service Flow Restructure
Led by Janet, our pilot services held on 15th, 22nd and 29th June streamlined the Children’s Church flow. All-children gathering time was reduced to 45 minutes. Snack time was restructured to maximize engagement.
The result? More focused and Christ-centered sessions with the children, at class level. We continue to refine the service and address teething problems.
“Everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” (1 Cor 14:40)
Class Transitions
We celebrated 31 children on 8th June. As they transitioned in each class, from Mt. Sinai (ages 3-4) to Mt. Olives (ages 11-12). Each child was crowned with a bookmark and Rev. Albert’s blessings.

“Children are a heritage from the Lord.” (Ps 127:3)
Welfare Visits
This quarter, we rallied around our sisters, Judith Oreso, Abigail Waka, and Monica Karugu, during seasons of grief and hospitalization. With 6–18 members attending, these visits exemplified our community in action.
“Carry each other’s burdens.” (Gal 6:2)
Welcoming New Facilitators
We joyfully welcomed Lorrain Kigami, Meg Mutuma and Dennis Kibet from Overcomers (Youth), WINGS (Women) and Eagles (Men) fellowships. Their energy and gifts promise great impact in Q3.
“Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.” 1 Cor 12:14
Standing with Faith & Jeff Mwago
Our hearts were heavy as we stood with Faith and Jeff Mwago in the loss of baby David Qadash. He was buried on 20th May (Read: @17 Days: Gone Too Soon, Loved Forever).
Faith formerly led the Children’s ministry and remains close to our hearts.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” (Ps 34:18)
Looking Ahead to Q3
Quarter 3 promises even more impact. There will be weekly New Testament Bible stories. We will have biweekly parent follow-ups after the PWP check-ins. Ongoing team huddles are planned.
Our annual vocational Bible study is scheduled for August. We anticipate joyful celebrations, including baby Leona Katembu’s welcome, refined service flow, and new facilitators stepping into teaching.
A parenting seminar is also on the horizon. Another opportunity to deepen our church-family connection.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” (Prov 16:3)
