Quarter 4 (Oct–Dec 2025) at GPT Hebron City Children’s Church was quiet, faithful, and fruitful. This was a season of deep roots and bright fruit.
From prayerful facilitators and growing discipleship, to compassionate outreach. Joyful Christmas worship. And a Children’s Church building, rising brick by brick. We saw God establishing our children firmly in His ways.

🌿 A Season of Deep Roots and Bright Fruit
Quarter 4 (Oct–Dec 2025) was marked by steady growth, rather than spectacle. A season where God quietly strengthened foundations and bore visible fruit.
Facilitators were refreshed through retreat and prayer. Children were grounded in Scripture through completed curricula and new believers classes. And families lived out compassion, through home visits and shared worship.
As the year closed, we celebrated Christmas with joy.
Progress on the NextGen building continued. Together, they reminded us that when we are established in His ways, God grows both people and purpose. In His time. For His glory.

🤍 Refreshing the Servants – Facilitators’ Retreat (October 10)
Fifteen facilitators gathered at Sheila’s Oriare’s home for a meaningful retreat. Focused on rest, reconnection, and gratitude. We shared cooking, laughter, prayer, music, and time together (including our children).
We paused to reflect on God’s faithfulness.
Being renewed for the journey ahead. Though modest in setting, the day was rich in fellowship. It reminded us that what sustains ministry most, is not the venue. But, hearts walking together in purpose. 🌿

Watering the Well: Growing Facilitators Through Prayer🌿
A Biweekly Online Bible Study on Prayer was a new initiative for our facilitators. It emerged from a heartfelt discussion in Q2. This discussion highlighted the importance of supporting the spiritual well-being of those dedicated to our children (see Newsletter).

Beginning on April 22 and running through October 28.
The study brought together 10–20 facilitators online every two weeks. Using an eight-lesson guide, from Focus Kenya. It deepened our understanding and practice of prayer.
As we step into prayer partnerships, we are learning valuable lessons. Lasting fruit grows where commitment, clarity, confidentiality, and trust guide us. These principles determine how we walk together. 🌿
📘 Rooted in the Story: Growing Through God’s Word (2025 Curriculum Journey)
In 2025, our Children’s Church joyfully completed two One Hope Foundation curricula. 17 Stories was for ages 4–5. Stories of Hope was for ages 6–12.
Grounding our children in the grand story of God’s redemption.
Facilitators reflected on how the lessons helped children grasp foundational truths: God as Creator. The fall of man. God’s rescue plan through Abraham. And ultimately the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Repetition, age-appropriate pacing, and hands-on craft activities proved especially powerful. Helping young minds remember Scripture. Internalize memory verses (Jeremiah 6:16 stood out!). And engage all their senses as they learned.

Moments of deep impact stood out.
From a sober and moving re-enactment of the crucifixion that stirred heartfelt responses. To lively preparation for the Christmas Cantata. Children joyfully sang an Afrobeat version of “Go Tell It on the Mountain.”
Flexible lesson pacing and the revised Children’s Church service flow, helped children stay attentive, inquisitive, and eager to learn.
Whether through thoughtful questions. Playful curiosity. Or lessons like David’s kindness to Mephibosheth. The Word took root, in ways both tender and transformative.

💛 From Reservoir to River – Children’s Home Visit (Dec 12)
Our visit to The Good Shepherd Children’s Home was a powerful lesson. It is run by Catholic Missionaries of the Poor. It served as a sermon on generosity. Not as something we do, but who we become.
Children fed, prayed with, and played alongside peers living with cerebral palsy. Learning empathy in its truest form.

📖 Discipleship at Home – Children’s Bible Study in Life Groups
The Kangundo Road Life Group piloted children’s Bible study. Using The True Champion (by One Hope Foundation).
Children and teens learned alongside adults. Discovering that faith is lived. Not compartmentalized.
🌱 Growing Faith – New Believers Class (Sprout)
We launched another New Believers Class on October 26. With 17 children beginning a 10-week journey in the foundations of faith.
Since 2022, 80 children have completed this study. Learning to pray, trust God, read Scripture, and share their faith.

🤝 Walking Together – Welfare Visits
This quarter, we stood with families through grief, loss, transition, and new beginnings.
Reminding one another that we don’t do life (or ministry) alone.
🎶 Christ Born – Narrative Christmas Musical Cantata (December 14)
Children led the church in worship through song, dance, drama, and Scripture. Tracing from prophecy (in the Old Testament) to fulfillment (in the New Testament).
A special highlight was Natalie Billia’s sermon,“The Night Heaven Surprised Earth” (based on Luke 2). Preached with clarity, confidence, and childlike wonder. 🎥 Watch a short snippet here.

Rev. Albert prayed over our Children’s Church facilitators, after a joyful Christmas Cantata. It was a moment of gratitude and covering.
🎓 Learning Together – Guest Facilitators (Oct–Nov)
We were blessed by four guest facilitators. They brought creativity, humility, and joy into our classrooms.

🏗️ Building for Generations – Tujenge NextGen Initiative
Through the SOO Mbili (weekly) Challenge, piggy banks, and joyful generosity, the church raised Ksh. 1.7M in Q4 alone. Of these, children raised Ksh.95K using piggy banks.
By December 31, beams were erected and the first-floor slab corrugated. Completing phase 2 of the project. A visible sign of faith in action.

🙏 Prayer – Our Quiet Power
Eleven facilitators met on October 18 to pray for children, families, programs, and the NextGen building.
Prayer remains the unseen engine behind everything we do.
