From surviving lean seasons⦠to learning how to navigate when life doesnāt reset, but evolves.
The first time, I showed up alone. Holding a story.
The second time, I showed up with a team. Building a movement.
Two webinars. Same title. Different posture.
š§ Introduction
On November 7, 2025, I hosted my first webinar: Still Standing ā Surviving and Thriving Through Lean Seasons.
It was raw. Personal. Unfiltered.
On April 5, 2026, we gathered again. This time, not just to survive⦠but to navigate transitions that refuse to end.
And something had shifted. Not just in the content⦠but in me.

šŖ Then vs Now: The Quiet Evolution
š£ Webinar 1.0 ā Survival Mode
I did almost everything myself.
- Francis Kahihu ā moderating
- Mike Katembu ā poster design
- Pauline Mbatha ā videography
- Me ā everything else (registration, mobilization, logistics, content creation)
It was scrappy. But it worked.
š 84 registrations | 22 feedback responses

šµ Webinar 2.0 ā Building Mode
This time⦠I didnāt show up alone.
- Liz Githinji ā registration & coordination
- Anthony Ndiema ā moderating
- Mike Katembu ā poster design
- Emmanuel Nandokha ā School of Life pitch
- Willy Kamau ā media (video, photography, lighting š„)
- Me – content creation, team leadership
Plus, I invested in a Google Meet subscription to properly host and record.
š 32 registrations | 5 feedback responses
Smaller numbers. Deeper intention.

š¤ The Honest Question
Was it the Good Friday effect?
Timing? Audience? Messaging?
Or is this what it looks like when you move from:
š doing things organically, to
š building something intentionally
As I grow Growth Communities into a social enterprise, these are questions Iām learning to sit with. Not rush past.

š Content Evolution: Same Roots, New Depth
What struck me most is how the two webinars spoke to each other.
š„ Webinar 1.0
- Shock of job loss
- Financial literacy
- Faith and survival
- Community as support
š± Webinar 2.0
- Transitions donāt end, they evolve
- Financial literacy ā financial resilience systems
- Faith ā daily sustaining rhythms
- Community ā intentional support structures
š In Season 1, I was surviving.
š In Season 2, I started building.
šø Moments That Tell the Story

š§ Learning While Building
This journey is not happening in isolation.
Itās being shaped by:
- Conversations with mentors ā wisdom in waiting
- Learning at Sinapis Aspire Launchpad ā building with structure
- Personal reflections ā from closed gates to new purpose
This is not just a webinar journey. Itās a life-in-transition journey.

šļø New Territory: From Webinar to Platform
Iām still new to this space:
Podcasting, webinars, and now stepping into a YouTube channel.
TikTok? Letās park that⦠Iām still figuring out how to look normal in a selfie video. š
Itās exciting.
Itās nerve-wracking.
And honestlyā¦
Iām learning business in real time.

š Feedback Reality Check
- Webinar 1.0 ā 22 responses (26%)
- Webinar 2.0 ā 5 responses (16%)
Fewer voices.
But still valuable signals.
š What resonated?
š What needs sharpening?
š What should evolve next?
These are the questions shaping what comes next.
š Scriptures That Anchored Me
āDo not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.ā Zechariah 4:10
āLet us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.ā Galatians 6:9
šæ The Bigger Realization

Growth is not always upward.
Sometimes⦠it is inward.
Sometimes⦠fewer people, deeper impact.
Sometimes⦠slower pace, stronger foundation.
š Continue the Conversation
If this journey resonated with you, the recordings for both webinars (1.0 and 2.0) are available.
Feel free to DM me for details.
You can also reach out via email, call, or WhatsApp. Using the contacts on the business card at the end of this blog.
Letās keep the conversation going šæ
š Closing Loop
The first time, I showed up alone. Holding a story.
This time, I showed up with others. Building something.
And maybe thatās the shift.
Not just still standing⦠But learning how to move while standing.
