In 2013, Macleen, a 12 year old girl was wheeled into my Sunday school class. It was my first time to teach a child with cerebral palsy.
Her mother had bold faith. She stayed at the back of the class in every lesson, giving moral support to her daughter and the teacher.
In her book, ‘My Daughter You Can Fly, Even With Broken Wings’ she gives the reader a front row seat on her journey of raising a special needs child.
Parenting a special child put her on the driver’s seat. Transforming her into a special mother, who is consciously nurturing her daughter while neutering her condition.
On Mother’s Day, Macleen went online and bought her mother a gift 
. Now at 22 years, she is making baby steps to stand and walk on her own.

Grace Kinga is among the many unsung heroes who are raising children with cerebral palsy, autism, dyslexia, down syndrome, hydrocephalus and other audio-visual disorders and disabilities.
